History

Eighteenth Avenue Family Enrichment Center was founded in 1934 as the Negro Youth Work Committee with the mission to provide wholesome recreational programs for male youth.  Its mission has expanded to include services that make a difference in the loves of North Nashville families and individuals.  The center is a central part of the community, providing services that touch the lives of people of all ages.

Mission

The mission of Eighteenth Avenue is to impact the lives of residents of the North Nashville and surrounding communities by assessing and responding to the needs of the community through the implementation of center-based and outreach programs that promote and enrich participation in family, economic, civic and community life.
